Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Orders & Shipping
When will my order ship?
Orders ship within 1 or 2 business days after we receive your order. Due to the perishable nature of our chocolate, we only ship orders Monday through Wednesday to ensure your chocolate is not in transit for an extended period of time. Orders placed after 2pm CST on Wednesday will be shipped the following Monday.
How do I know when my order will arrive?
When your order ships, we’ll send you a tracking number. You’ll also receive a confirmation email when your package arrives.
Where do you ship?
We currently only offer shipping to the 48 contiguous states of the United States. We are not able to ship perishables or chocolate to P.O. boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or other U.S. territories.
What are your shipping options and rates?
We typically offer Ground, 2-Day, and Overnight shipping. Rates will vary based on the destination and selected speed. To protect your chocolates from melting, we strongly suggest always selecting an expedited option.
I'm local, can I pick up my order?
Yes, if you are in the Houston area you will have the option to select free Pick Up at checkout. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready.
I mistyped my address, how can I change it?
If the order has already shipped out, you’ll need to contact UPS or USPS directly. We strongly recommend you review your order before it is submitted as we typically cannot modify or make changes to an order after it is submitted. If you have not yet received a shipping confirmation, email us at sinlesstreatschocolate@gmail.com and we’ll try to help.
Will my chocolate melt during shipment?
We do our best to prevent this by shipping with ice packs and insulation when the weather requires to avoid melting during shipment. We also only ship Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid excess time in transit over weekends.
The most common reason chocolate melts in transit is that it is left outside in direct sun. The best way to prevent this is to bring your package inside as soon as possible.
My ice pack arrived warm, is that ok?
Yes, that’s to be expected, as ice packs start to melt as soon as they leave our facility.
My chocolate melted, what can I do?
If your chocolate has melted and you paid for 2-Day or Overnight shipping, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photos of the product and shipping boxes and we’ll do our best to make it right.
My order is missing certain items, what should I do?
If you are missing items or received the wrong ones, please contact us ASAP at sinlesstreatschocolate@gmail.com and we'll do our best to make it right as quickly as possible. Please include photos of the product and the shipping box it arrived in so we can handle your request in a timely fashion.
What is your return or refund policy?
We do our best to ensure that your chocolate arrives to its destination in perfect condition, but there are some variables out of our control. We are unable to provide refunds or replacements for products sustaining damage in transit due to extreme temperatures or carrier shipping delays, and refunds or replacements can only be considered if 2-Day or Overnight shipping was selected.
If there is an issue or discrepancy upon receipt of your order, please reach out to us via email with photographed documentation of the damaged products and shipping boxes. These requests must be received within 24 hours of the verified delivery of the order.
If a damaged product has been discarded, we regretfully cannot issue a refund or credit.

Ingredients & Health Benefits
What makes Sinless Treats chocolates healthier than other chocolate?
We've replaced all the harmful ingredients you typically find in mass-produced chocolates with all-natural, organic, good-for-you ingredients—without losing the taste you love.
We use a rare Ecuadorian cacao famous for its superior taste, quality, and health benefits. We roast and grind the whole organic cacao beans in-house, maintaining all the benefits of the antioxidant-filled superfood. Our chocolates are sweetened with natural sugar alternatives like stevia, erythritol, and allulose, providing a guilt-free indulgence that supports a healthy lifestyle.
We never use any artificial or ultra-processed ingredients. No emulsifiers, additives, or preservatives. And of course, no refined sugars.
What sugar alternatives do you use?
We use a proprietary blend of the highest quality natural, plant-based sweeteners including whole-plant stevia, chicory root fiber (inulin), allulose, and fruit erythritol from organic apples and pears.
These alternatives provide the sweetness you crave without the adverse health effects associated with refined sugars. They do not elevate blood sugar levels or cause a sugar crash. Some are even shown to provide additional health benefits, including helping to lower cholesterol levels, supporting metabolic health, and reducing weight gain.
Although consuming sugar alcohols or fiber in excess can cause gastrointestinal discomfort like bloating or diarrhea, our unique blend using a variety of natural sweeteners mitigates the risk of these side effects.
Read more about our alternative sweeteners here.
What is inulin?
Inulin, also called chicory root fiber, is a type of dietary fiber found naturally in plants. It acts as a prebiotic, supporting gut health by promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria, and also acts as a mild natural sweetener that does not elevate blood sugar levels.
What is erythritol?
Erythritol is a natural sugar alcohol found in fruits and vegetables. It's low in calories and does not affect blood sugar levels, making it a diabetic-friendly sweetener. The erythritol we use is imported from France, where it’s extracted from organic apples and pears—which minimizes the GI side effects commonly associated with erythritol.
What is allulose?
Allulose is a rare sugar found naturally in small amounts in fruits such as figs and grapes. It tastes like sugar but is not metabolized by the body, so it does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels and makes it nearly calorie-free.
What are the health benefits of your product?
Our chocolates are crafted from all-natural, organic ingredients that deliver significant health advantages over traditional chocolates. Rich in healthy fats and antioxidants like polyphenols and flavonoids, organic cacao and cacao butter contribute to reduced inflammation, increased blood flow, and lower blood pressure that helps to improve heart and brain health. Our low glycemic index natural sweetners provide support for healthy blood sugar levels, and fibers like inulin help promote digestive health.
What is the Nutritional Value Analysis of each chocolate?
You can find the detailed nutrition information of our chocolate bonbons, truffles, and bars on the website.
See nutrition details for all Chocolate Bonbons and Truffles in our Flavor Guide.
See nutrition details for each of our Chocolate Bars on their corresponding product pages.
Generally, our chocolates are extremely low in net carbs and sugars while being high in dietary fiber.
Are all of Sinless Treats Chocolates 100% No Added Sugar?
Yes, all Sinless Treats chocolates contain no added sugars. They are sweetened with plant-based, natural sweeteners that do not increase blood sugar levels.
The only sugar content in any of our chocolates is the sugar from the lactose used in our milk and white chocolates or the organic fruits used to flavor our bonbons and truffles. This still results in an average of less than 0.2g of total sugar per bonbon and 1g of sugar per serving of our dark chocolate bars.
Are sugar-free chocolates really sugar-free?
Our sugar-free chocolates do not contain any added sugars, ever. The sweet taste comes from natural sweeteners that do not raise blood sugar levels and are found to have other health benefits, providing a healthier alternative to conventional sugar-laden chocolates.
Some of our chocolates may have a low sugar content, but this does not come from any added refined sugars—rather from naturally occurring sugars in organic fruits and dairy.
If you are looking for 100% sugar-free, try our Noir Dream 70% dark chocolate bar with 0g of sugar. Our dark chocolate bars, bonbons, and truffles will have the lowest or zero total sugar content as they will not contain lactose from dairy.
Allergens & Dietary Suitability
Are your chocolate suitable for a vegan diet?
Dark chocolate is inherently dairy free, making our dark chocolate bars a suitable vegan chocolate option. Other than the dairy used to make milk and white chocolate as well as some of our ganache and fillings, and eggs used to make the lemon and lime curds, there are no other animal products or by-products used in our chocolates.
If you are following a vegan diet, make sure to check the ingredient list for each product that will indicate when dairy or eggs are used.
Are your chocolates keto-friendly?
Yes. Our sugar-free desserts are suitable for a ketogenic diet. Our chocolates are designed to be low in net carbs and sugars, with many options that are under 1 net carb and 0g total sugars. If you’re looking for the lowest carb and sugar content for keto desserts, select from our dark chocolate options.
Are your sugar-free chocolates good for diabetics?
Similar to the answer above, our low carb and sugar free chocolates are diabetic-friendly. The sugar alternatives used in our chocolates will not spike blood sugar or insulin levels. It is always best to consult with your doctor or dietitian before adding a new food to your diet, but we can assure our chocolates are low in sugars and glycemic index.
Are your chocoates gluten-free?
Yes, chocolate is naturally gluten-free. Some of our bonbons, truffles, and bars will have inclusions including fruits and nuts, all of which are gluten-free as well.
What allergens are in your chocolates?
Some of our chocolates contain milk, eggs, and tree nuts including hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, almonds, or pistachios.
Our products do not contain peanuts, and we source our nuts from peanut-free suppliers.
Please check the detailed ingredient list for each product if you have food allergies.
Are your chocolates organic?
Yes, our chocolate are made from certified organic ingredients.
Are your chocolates non-GMO?
Yes, we do not use any genetically modified ingredients in our chocolate making.
What are the lead and cadmium levels in your chocolate?
Our chocolates have been tested with no found traces of lead or cadmium.
Are your chocolates certified Kosher?
We do not currently have Kosher certification, but are working toward achieving that in the near future.
Storage & Shelf-Life
What is the shelf-life of your chocolates?
Our chocolates are made in small batches without any preservatives or emulsifiers, and are stored at 64°F and 41% humidity. After they have left this controlled environment, we recommend consuming the chocolates within 10 days of arrival for optimal flavor and texture.
How should I store my chocolate?
Store your chocolate in a cool, dry place such as a kitchen pantry, out of direct sunlight, ideally at a temperature range of 60-65°F but not to exceed 75°F. Any room with AC is fine, and a wine fridge is actually perfect if you have that available to you.
Can I refrigerate or freeze the chocolate?
If you do not plan on indulging in your chocolates within 2 weeks, we suggest sealing them in an airtight container and refrigerating. Allow the chocolate to thaw naturally at room temperature when you’re ready to enjoy.
Storing in the freezer is typically not recommended because exposing chocolate to extreme hot or cold temperature fluctuations may lead to “bloom,” a light powdery surface caused by the emergence of sweetener or fat crystals. This does not affect the safety of consuming the chocolate, but may alter the appearance and texture.
