Shipping Guidelines
Orders ship within 1 or 2 business days after we receive your order. Due to the perishable nature of our chocolate, we only ship orders Monday through Wednesday to ensure your chocolate is not in transit for an extended period of time. Orders placed after 2pm CST on Wednesday will be shipped the following Monday.
Order Processing
We strongly recommend you review your order before it is submitted as we can not modify or make changes to an order after it is submitted. After your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation to the email address provided during checkout. Once your order has been processed, you will receive a second email from Sinless Treats with tracking information stating that a shipping label has been created.
Shipping Options and Rates
We typically offer Ground, 2-Day, and Overnight shipping. Rates will vary based on the destination and selected speed.
Depending on weather conditions, we may restrict shipping methods to Express options only to protect your chocolates in transit.
During cooler months, generally from October to March, Ground options can be utilized, however we still recommend opting for 2-Day or Overnight shipping methods. We are unable to offer refunds or replacements for items compromised by extreme temperatures unless shipped via 2-Day or Overnight service.
Warm Weather Shipping
During warm weather months, including but not limited to April through September, temperatures in Houston and/or the shipping destination may require expedited shipping options with ice packs and insulation to prevent melting.
Based on our expertise, when temperatures rise above 70°F, a thermal insulated sleeve with ice packs will protect your chocolates in transit, provided the transit time does not exceed two days. Once temperatures reach 80°F and above, the effectiveness of the ice packs may be limited to a 24-hour period. Please consider this when selecting your shipping options.
Due the precautions we take, the most common reason chocolate melts in transit is that it is left outside in direct sun. The best way to prevent this is to bring your package inside as soon as possible.
Where We Ship
We currently only offer shipping to the 48 contiguous states of the United States. We are not able to ship perishables or chocolate to P.O. boxes, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, or other U.S. territories.
Please ensure all shipping address information is correct and that you have provided a street address, company name, suite or apartment number when applicable to ensure proper delivery. A fee will be required to modify a shipping address once the package has been shipped.
Sinless Treats is not responsible for failed deliveries when:
- Customer provided an incorrect/outdated address
- Recipient is not available to receive the package
- Customer refuses the shipment
- Customer does not provide a corrected/new delivery address within 24 hours of first delivery attempt
Shipments that are returned or require rerouting due to an incorrect address will be subject to additional charges for reshipment and/or relabeling for the carrier. We highly recommend shipping orders to an address where the recipient will be available to receive them.
Care Upon Receipt
Please ensure your shipping destination is a place with air conditioning, and where someone will be available to receive your package. The delivery carrier may leave your package outside, so it is essential for someone to promptly retrieve the package upon arrival.
Store your chocolate in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight, ideally at a temperature range of 60-65°F but not to exceed 75°F. Any room with AC is fine, and a wine fridge is actually perfect if you have that available to you.
Our chocolates are made in small batches without any preservatives or emulsifiers, and are stored at 64°F and 41% humidity. After they have left this controlled environment, we recommend consuming the chocolates within 10 days of arrival for optimal flavor and texture.
If you do not plan on indulging in your chocolates within 2 weeks or are waiting to give them as a gift, we suggest sealing them in an airtight container and refrigerating. Allow the chocolate to thaw naturally at room temperature when you’re ready to enjoy.
Exposing chocolate to extreme hot or cold temperature fluctuations may lead to “bloom,” a light powdery surface caused by the emergence of sweetener or fat crystals. This does not affect the safety of consuming the chocolate, but may alter the texture.
Refunds
We do our best to ensure that your chocolate arrives to its destination in perfect condition, but there are some variables out of our control. We are unable to provide refunds or replacements for products sustaining damage in transit due to extreme temperatures or carrier shipping delays, and refunds and replacements can only be considered if 2-Day or Overnight shipping was selected.
If there is an issue or discrepancy upon receipt of your order, please reach out to us via email with photographed documentation of the damaged products and shipping boxes. These requests must be received within 24 hours of the verified delivery of the order.
If a damaged product has been discarded, we regretfully cannot issue a refund or credit.
After 24 hours, Sinless Treats considers the shipment to be delivered and accepted with no issues. To report issues and send photos of damaged products, please email sinlesstreatschocolate@gmail.com. Due to the perishable nature of our products, all claims submitted without proper support will not be eligible for a reshipment or refund. We do not accept returns. Sinless Treats reserves the right to limit replacements or refunds.
